Here are highlights from Missouri law on driving while intoxicated;
'Per Se' BAC Level is .08 for anyone under the age of 21 years old is under the zero tolerance law and must not have a BAC lever of more than .02. If suspected of DUI under the implied consent law drivers must submit to a chemical test - breath, blood or urine testing. If the driver refuses to submit to the test, penalties such as mandatory suspension of a driver's license can be the result.

Fines and/or penalties may be reduced if the driver participates in an education and assessment program. Driver’s participation is mandatory in order to restore driving privileges. During the assessment of the offender’s drinking if found to be dependent on alcohol then the driver can be mandated to treatment. Possible ignition interlock may also be issued a machine that is hooked up to the engine that detects alcohol on the driver. The driver must blow into the machine to start and keep the vehicle in motion.
