Here are highlights from Kansas law on driving under the influence of alcohol.

'Per Se' BAC Level: .08

Zero Tolerance BAC Level: .02 this is for those 21 years and younger.

Implied Consent Law: Yes

License Suspension 1st Offense: 30 days

License Suspension 2nd Offense: 1 year, mandatory jail time and possible ignition interlock - a machine that is hooked up to your ignition that detects alcohol.  The driver is responsible for the cost and maintenance of the machine.

License Suspension 3rd Offense: 1 year and mandatory jail time

Mandatory Alcohol Education/Assessment/Treatment: participating in this can reduce your penalty and fine. During assessment one might find to be dependent on alcohol and participate in treatment this is all in order to restore driving privileges
